Duke of Edinburgh Diamond Challenge
You may have already registered to complete a DofE Diamond Challenge, if not, have a think about getting involved!
My own Diamond Challenge starts on Sunday Feb 28th, though training has been happening for many months.
See details below. It would be great if I could raise as much sponsorship as possible for Cancer Research and for the DofE. Check out the links for the just giving pages below..
The Duke of Edinburgh Award Diamond Challenge By Cambs County Council DofE Manager
The DofE Award has launched the DofE Diamond Challenge to celebrate 60 years of young people taking part in DofE Award programmes at Bronze, Silver and Gold Level. Anyone of any age or background can take part in their own Diamond Challenge.
Tracy Grant’s Diamond DofE Challenge is about to start on Sunday Feb 28th...The challenge has been called a “DISJOINTED TRIATHLON”
Update for silvers & gold
Hello All Silvers and Golds
I hope you have all had a great half term and are now ready for a few sessions of route planning.
A LAPTOP is required for all the upcoming sessions. At least one and preferably 2 laptops as a minimum per team.
Weds Feb 24thAll groups to plan their day walk route card. There is only ONE session allocated to this task, so all teams need to work quickly and efficiently. The route card will need to be complete AND checked by a leader before members of the team will be allowed to leave.
Your Day Walk dates have already been set. See attached list and relevant trip letters.
Weds 2nd and 9th March
All groups to plan for the Practice expedition in the Peak District at the beginning of July. This will be a first refresher Practice for ALL golds and the main Practice for ALL Silvers. Letter to follow nearer the time.
eDofEThere are still a lot of blank spaces in your eDofE profiles for your Silver or your Gold Award. You should have started all your sections months ago, so add the details now so I can formally approve them.
See you later.
Tracy.

Update ahead of meeting
Hi All
Tonight's kit information session is for all new participants
at St Ives, i.e:
- ALL Bronze
- All new Silvers
- All new Golds
- Any Silvers and Golds registered with St Ives Open group at a previous award level need not attend.
A notebook would be useful to add any notes about kit to
take home to parents.
See you later
Tracy
